We started the day at Lori’s parents home for some getting ready shots. Lori and Eric were married at Barre Congregational Church in Barre, MA. The weather was perfect for a fall October wedding. October seems to be the most popular month to have a wedding here in New England. Then we all headed over to the Colonial Hotel in Gardner, MA for some wedding reception fun. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day!
I love the inspiration of fall colors of orange and brown and the deep reds they chose for the flower girl basket and bridal bouquet. I don’t think I have ever seen an orange Cali lily before. Flowers created by Brooks McMannis Florist, who is also a recommended vendor for Colonial Hotel in Gardner, MA
I don’t usually blog family formal portraits, but I thought this one with the parents of the bride was cute.
I like this shot of the groomsmen taken by my second shooter Kim Jones. Wedding dress is from Elegance by Carbonneau.
Beautiful ice sculpture and yummy deserts oh my.
I had a lot of my wedding couples this year made donations to charities for their wedding favors. I really like the idea for various reasons.
I absolutely love it when the grandma’s get out on the dance floor and boogie down. Entertainment was provided by Timeless Productions DJ, they got the party started!
A little strip tease by the groom for the garter removal.
Congratulations! A fun wedding and a good time had by all.
Caissie and Dan were married 9/10/11. We started out with bridal preparations at Caissie’s parents home. We all headed over to The Church of the Holy Ghost in Whitman MA for the church wedding ceremony. The fun-filled wedding reception was held at The Boston Marriott in Quincy, MA. Here are a couple of my favorite wedding photographs from the day.
Tara and Matt were married at the Christ the King Church in Worcester, MA. They held their reception at the The Harding Allen Estate in Barre, MA. What a great venue to photograph a wedding at. I look forward to photographing more weddings there next season. It was a little bit rainy, but overall it was a nice overcast day. We were able to go outside for some bride and groom portraits in the beautiful garden on the Estate. Some of my favorites of the season. They are such an easy going, fun loving couple as you can tell from the photos.
Here were some of the amazing vendors:
Florist: Kathy’s Flowers and gifts
Hair: Ubi Hair Studio
Make-up: Kristie Lee McCaffery/NKD
DJ: Bob Solano
Invitations: Bride Design
Limo: Grey’s Rolls Royce
Wedding Dress: David’s Bridal
Some of my favorite images of the day. Love, love love these Calvin Klein wedding shoes.
Tara’s aunt surprise her with a gift, a rose made from pieces of her grandmothers wedding dress. Such an emotional moment.
Beautiful colors inspired by the peacock. There were little touches of peacock feathers throughout the details of the wedding, from the wedding invitations to the bridesmaids’ headpieces.
Sisterly love!
Wanted to give a little vintage feel, I usually don’t like to over-process my photographs too much. Just a touch of warmth.
She was just having a blast out on the dance floor.
This grandma is 93 years old. So awesome, how she was out there boogying down! You go girl! I just hope I have that kind of energy when I am that age.
What a fantastic wedding. Visit my facebook page to see their slideshow! www.facebook.com/heatherfullerphotography
Desire and Luis were married last month at St. Mary’s Parish in Southbridge, MA. Although I do travel all over New England for all types of weddings, it is nice to have a wedding so close to home, literally minutes down the street. This was my first all Spanish wedding ceremony. I have experienced ceremonies spoken entirely in Greek, Russian, Chinese and now Spanish. We started with the ladies getting ready at the bride’s parents home, after the church ceremony we headed over to the Auburn Elks for the wedding reception. Below are a few of my favorite images from the day.
The flower girls are always so cute when they look at themselves in the mirror after getting all dolled up.
Love the orange shoes, her wedding colors were orange and yellow.
The bride had a nice traditional spray bouquet.
Desire had her mom and dad walk her down the aisle.
I love a teary-eyed bride.
The groomsmen had a good time taking photographs.
The flower girl having fun with the photo booth props.
The Latin music that the DJ played, got them all up and dancing. Man, they can dance! Even their daughter had rhythm.
Abby was a referral from her sister, a former co-worker of mine, so it was nice to know part of the wedding party. My assistant Melissa and I started out the wedding day at Abby’s parents home in Webster, MA with the bridal preparation after the girls got back from getting their hair and makeup done at Orange Salon. Abby and Travis were married at the All Saints Church in Worcester, MA. The church had a really cute private courtyard where we photographed most of the family formals. Terry and her assistant planner Nikki, of Something Borrowed, Something New Events did a wonderful job as wedding coordinators for this well thought out backyard wedding. Their wonderful wedding coordinating abilities kept the wedding running smoothly and on time. It was the first time working with a wedding planner and it was a positive experience. After the church wedding ceremony we headed off to a local farm down the street from the Groom’s parents home (where the reception was being held) in Thompson, CT to take some fun photographs of the bridal party before heading over to the backyard wedding reception. Tents for rent provided the tent for the reception and some really cool red, white and blue globe chandeliers to fit in with the red, white and blue wedding colors. Flying Rhino Restaurant catered the meal. The food was awesome. DJ Tony Caramello kept the party going well into the evening. Some of the other wedding vendors that worked on this wedding are: Florist; Louisa, Cake; Erin Perry from Chocolate Rose, Videographer; Alex Deciccio, Limo; A Limo Affair. I had SO MANY favorite images from this wedding that it was hard to narrow it down to just a few, this is probably the most images (55) I have posted from any one wedding, I think I should put them in a slideshow (my next project, as well as a sample album). I am also trying my hand at some blog collages which I incorporated many of the wedding detail photographs.
The wedding videographer provided these cute little video cameras to capture the bridal party’s view of the wedding day, what a great idea! The bridesmaids had such a timeless look to them.
Just Love the red shoes!
The ring bearer looks so thrilled with his job.
Abby’s Mother walked her down the aisle.
Abby surprised her mom with a slideshow of images of them growing up. It was a nice personal touch, that brought some tears.
Here is a blog collage of some images of the red, white and blue beach themed details from the wedding reception. Abby and Travis made a donation in lieu of favors to NECOPS (New England Concerns of Police Survivors.) This seems to be a trend with the last few of my weddings that I have photographed. It is such a great idea.
I love a good cake smashing! It doesn’t happen too often, but when it does, it makes for some fun photographs.
Congratulations!
Hurricane Irene was an unwelcomed guest at courtney and Joe’s wedding at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA. Luckily the hurricane wasn’t as bad as predicted, but it did deter some of their guests from venturing out in the rain. My home photography studio isn’t too far from the reception venue, so I had no problems venturing out to photograph such an important event. The groom’s aunt, of Weedweavers of Wakefield, RI, did a beautiful job on the flowers, centerpieces, bridal bouquet, maid of honor bouquet, corsages, and floral decor. She surprised the bride with a whimsical, forest, woodland theme, that incorporated the brides love of rabbits. It came out fantastic. If I wasn’t already married, it is just the type of decor and floral arrangements I would love for my own wedding. DJ Mike Wish kept the party going on the dance floor during the wedding reception. The Beatles seemed to be a favorite choice of the evening for both the father/daughter dance and the bride and grooms first dance. Here are a few of my favorites of the day, it was hard to narrow to just a few images from the wedding though.
The MUA couldn’t make it because of the storm, so Courtney did an excellent job on her own make-up and hair.
The details in the wedding dress were exquisite.
And to continue with the bunny theme, these cute bunny cufflinks are just adorable.
This was the first time photographing an indoor ceremony in The Publick House’s Paige Hall it was quite nice, usually they are either outside in the gazebo, or in the barn. I have a couple upcoming late fall/winter weddings that are scheduled to be performed in Paige Hall. The lighting from the window is pretty.
Love these silhouettes, my artistic side coming out.
We didn’t let a little rain stop us from venturing outside for some bride and groom portraits. Joe bought these umbrellas to use. The white one is silk that has been waterproofed, what a neat idea. Below is a result of a huge wind gust.
More of the bunny theme. Love the groom cake topper. The image after is a close-up of the wedding cake topper, too cute. There are so many unique cake toppers out there. I should do a blog post of just cake toppers.
This is such a sweet photo of the bride with her grandfather.
Even though it was a small crowd, they knew how to party!
There is nothing more exciting to a wedding photographer than picture perfect weather on a Saturday evening in August, at least when there is a wedding going on. Belinda and Kevin, married on August 13, 2011, had this kind of evening for their colorful wedding held at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston Massachusetts. The love Belinda and Kevin share was evident throughout the ceremony and celebration. Belinda was a beautiful bride, laughing easily and often. There was no shortage of images with Belinda and Kevin smiling at each other and at the antics of their family. We’ll (I’ll) say this about the best man’s speech, it was unforgettable. With just the right touches of humor and kindness, the best man of the wedding (Kevin’s son) was full of laughs and love for the newly married couple. A big thank you to my new assistant Melissa Nykorchuk for helping me out with this wedding. Below are a couple of my favorite images of the day.
Kevin and Belinda’s sons were the ring bearers. They were so cute.
Johanna and Joseph were married on June 25th at Johanna’s mothers home. She arrived for the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage that was rented from a local horse rescue, according to the driver, Clydesdales love to work. Great to see lovely horses getting a second chance at a better life. Her mother, being a vet, adores horses as she had some of her own in the barn.
I love the antique jars used for the table centerpieces, the mini-chalkboards are such a unique idea for table numbers.
What a handsome family.
Their son was being sneaky and dipping his fingers in the wedding cake frosting.
I know I am behind in blogging my most recent weddings, it is non-stop saturdays until the end of November for me. I am mostly all caught up at the moment so I will be going on a posting frenzy this week.
I photographed Danielle and Justin’s wedding at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, MA back in June. It was a beautiful late spring (just about Summer) outdoor wedding ceremony in front of the gazebo. Here are a couple of my favorite images of the day.
I have never seen a bride and bridesmaids get ready so quickly. Danielle and her girls arrived with their hair already done, she had makeup applied and was dressed within 20 minutes time. Amazing.
The flower girl was so cute. I love it when the little ones can’t stop looking at themselves in the mirror when they are all dolled up like princesses. They feel so special.
Danielle had her mom and dad walk her down the aisle.
Love love love this one. I spotten this red barn over on the other side of the Inn and I knew I needed to incorporate into a bride and groom portrait. Played a little in photoshop to make it pop.
They were both fairly nice when feeding each other their wedding cake.
Justin’s grandma was tearing up the dance floor with all her grandchildren. I hope I still have that much energy at that age.
They had a fun bubble send off during the last dance.
And now a little break from the wedding posts. Love. Love. Love this Ocean Beach Engagement session. Gorgeous couple. They will be getting married next summer at the Belle Mer owned by longwood events in Newport, RI. We had good weather and great light at the “golden hour” before sunset on a warm August evening. The session was scheduled for the day before but the rain had other plans for us. This was the friday before hurricane Irene. There were a couple of photography sessions going on that evening, a trash the dress session and another couple session. I had so many favorites from this session, so without further ado….
